LIFE UPDATE: SEPT/OCT

Hey - I’m writing this post in Starbucks in Belfast. To be honest I feel a bit of a prat sitting in by the window with my Macbook on my knee, sipping my Caramel Creme Blend. (Yum!)
Quick life update. I fear now that I’m in final year I won’t have any time to blog due to coursework/dissertation so I’m making most of this opportunity. I apologise in advance if I don’t post anything.

Final Year
Dun dun dun! My university course is coming to an end. I can’t believe I’ve just started my third and final year - honestly, I would want to do it all again. I really don’t want to leave! No plans as yet as to what I’m going to do for the rest of my life. Right now, I’m just taking it a day at a time. Back into halls this year and loving it. It’s so handy living on campus and my flatmates are lovely. I think it’s going to be a great year.

Obsessions
I have fallen back in love with Fall Out Boy. The new album ‘Save Rock and Roll’, is okay I guess, but they’ve changed a lot over hiatus and I prefer their older work. Infinity on High is my all-time favourite album and it constantly plays in my car.
Also have got hooked on watching Youtube videos - completely adore Crabstickz, Danisnotonfire and Amazing Phil. I’ve been watching them everyday, so funny! Reminds me of when I was 16 and constantly watched Shane Dawson and Charlieissocoollike. The good old days.

Fashion
Hoorah! It’s finally Autumn! The weather is getting colder which means jumpers, boots, coats, HATS! I don’t really like summer weather (too warm so I die) so I get really excited because it’s coming into my favourite time of year. Was walking through Debenhams last month and a brand caught my eye called ‘H! by Henry Holland’ I’ve heard of him before but since that day I’ve fallen in love with his clothes. I’ve got my eyes on this green coat, it really is beautiful - I’ve tried it on like 4 times now, haha. The t-shirts and jumpers are also very cute and reasonable, I’m bound to buy one soon! It’s hard to save money. ~_~

Life of Claudia
I’m very excited to announce that i’m ~hopefully~ going on holidays next year. Woo! Instead of having a 21st party, Mum said I can go anywhere in the world for a family holiday. My first choice was Japan/Korea but she wormed her way out of that...hmm.. so the second choice was NEW YORK!! Nothing planned or sorted yet but I’m very excited for next summer! :D

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

VIDEOS THAT MAKE ME LAUGH

Um where do I begin? There are quite a few videos which make me laugh out loud. So I have composed a list. I apologise in advance for my poor sense of humour - the most stupid things can make me laugh. This list isn’t really ranked in any particular order because it’s much too difficult to rank these videos because they are all hilarious.

Harry Potter and South Park
One of the earliest videos I viewed on Youtube and I believe at a time it was posted on my Bebo profile! Despite being 6 years old, this clip still makes me laugh.
T.V Advertising - Sexist?
We were shown this clip during one of our lectures last semester on Feminism, and oh my goodness, I was crying with laughter to the end. What made it even more funny is no-one else found it as funny as I did, which made me laugh even more.
Ketchup Dispenser
Like I said at the start of this, I apologise for my poor poor humour. Even after watching this again I STILL think it’s brilliant. It’s so ridiculous, I really should go to bed. :(
Harry Potter as a Teen Comedy
What makes this video so legendary is how well it has been put together. What makes it so funny for me is when I think of the contrast between the actual film and this. I would LOVE the producers to make a film like this!
The ShamWOOHOO
Another classic. I found it difficult to choose out of Nigahiga’s collection of videos because he’s very very funny. WOOHOO.
A Merry Gangsta Christmas
I think Smosh has gone downhill these past few years but their earlier stuff is great. A personal favourite is this right here. I watch it every Christmas.
The Dark Knight - Joker Interrogation Scene Spoof
Brilliant. Over 3 years later and it’s still hilarious.
Block B Members Introduce Themselves
I still don’t understand why I find this funny as it is. I think it’s because they are trying to speak English and it’s an obvious deterioration of English skills as they move along the line. Most of it I’m thinking ‘wtf??’ MY NAME IJUH TAEIL - never gets old.
SS501 - English trial
Another attempt of Korean pop idols attempting the complex English language. I adore it. “I am a boy, you are a girl... we are good friendship, okaaaaay?”
Julian Smith - Bored
It doesn’t seem fair narrowing down Jullian Smith to one particular video because ALL his videos are hilarious. This one isn’t even as funny - but it makes me laugh my head off so therefore it is in the list!

Other videos which I think deserve a mention would be The Evil Look, Potter Puppet Pals and of COURSE, Alex Day Reading Twilight.

With many laughs,
Claudia

THE BADDEST FEMALE SEOUL CITY EVER HAD...

Favourite new human being and heroine: CL.

CL is the leader of my new bias girlgroup: 2NE1. Often described as the female version of Big Bang, 2NE1 (pronounced To Anyone) are completely badass. Their music and style are absolutely class. I watched some of their M.Vs last night and they are so awesome! And they are going to be promoting worldwide because Will-I-Am from Black Eyed Peas are working with them in April.

CL is famous for her outlandish clothes and style. Some would even say she’s the Korean version of Lady Gaga in terms of style. (I wouldn’t go that far, but she is getting there!) So today, I am adding her to my favourite women list, because her style and attitude is totally boss. I shall express this with pictures, like I usually would do.

Hair and eye-makeup here is beautiful.

I must say I found it difficult to find a natural picture of her without sunglasses on, I think it’s just her thing. She’s so pretty with dark hair.

Interesting Disney top here.

This jacket is just wack, it looks like it's made of card, but she still looks incredible.

I seriously like the jacket here, and she’s wearing the same Marilyn Monroe earrings that I blogged about last week.

This is a shot from a 2NE1 music video "It Hurts". So strange, but CL looks classy. The red lipstick and high bun is very gothic, and who else could get away with black and white fur‽

Mayjay, look, a use of an interbang!

Love the shoes here.

The jacket is very awesome with the studs, but I do not like the black skinny top and jeans because they are a different shade of black. (And I just noticed the guy lying on the ground...) She's murdered someone else!

I adore the button dress here, but the guy beside her is just too weird.

I've seen this hairstyle quite a few times on girls in music videos and I don't know if I like it or not.

The jacket here reminds me of the Kickers logo, which is a bit depressing. The hair tied up is gorgeous.

This isn't CL, it's Minzy, but I was telling Mary-Jane about this mask and hoodie and couldn't really describe it, and how cool it was. Here is is. (Woah, it's a massive photo compared to the rest, it annoys me greatly because it's going over my border on my blog.)

This photo is from the video “Go Away” where she stars as the girl who is dumped by her racecar boyfriend, attempts to get him back.......they race and well.... just watch it! It’s a shock, really. That guy is a douche! I missed lots of info out because you are all going to watch the full video and find out for yourselves.

Seriously, I’m ORDERING YOU to watch this video. If you don’t, I will ban you from reading my blog forever! Or, I'll stop blogging! Then how would blogging be fun without me? C'mon admit it, no-one else would be blogging unless I had done it second. (Julie-Anne had one before I did, haha)

Yeah, I know the video is Korean, and you all think I’m weird anyway, but I never ask you to do anything, SO WATCH IT and tell me what you think!! Please?

HALF TERM

Ello.
Hooray! It's half term. That means I have 5 days off including the weekend! (thumbs up)
But I also have 3 essays, one coursework updating, 6 art sketches and Great Gatsby annotating due for when I get back. (thumbs down)

Paul's Missionary Journey 3 Essay
Pliny and Trajan Essay part B
Compare and Contrast English Essay
Great Gatsby Annotating
I.C.T Coursework Updating
6 Art Sketches

Hmm I need to work more this evening. But today is FUNFRIDAY ONCE AGAIN.
Emma invited Kerri and I down for my minor late Birthday Party. Emma's made me a present and Kerri has brought something so I'm excited. ^_^

Yesterday was the Careers Day at school. We got out a period to walk round some stalls with people telling us more about universities and crap. It was very good actually. I think I know what I want to do in uni. I want to go to University of Ulster in Belfast to do an Art and Design course. I know it's silly to do art but I might as well do something I like. The woman suggested that I should do a foundation year to experiment with different art, then the year after I can choose what route to go down- like that could be fine art, textiles etc.
I have been to that University before at a gallery of student's work last June. Wow it was amazing. It looked like so much fun, and the student life looked class. But I still have another year of school- so I'll put it to the back of my mind for a while.

Creepy.
I'm currently drinking tea and eating a yoghurt. One of my favourite things to do, even though Kerri once said it was gross that I was mixing a hot drink with something cold.

Yay, I know what I want to do for my art exam. I don't think I said my theme was PROGRESS. Which really sucks. But I know what I'm going to do: The Progress of TECHNOLOGY! Then I can draw iPods, Computers and YOUTUBE STARS. = Charlieissocoollike :D
Haha I know how to get my own interests squeezed into my art. ;) Hmm.. I wonder how I could get Super Junior in there too...

Photobucket
By the way, I have been converted to a GLEEK. I can't wait til next Monday.

FEBRUARY'S COOL LIST

Okay, time for an update on the coolness and admiration of certain men and women that have caught my eye recently.
1. MIKE CHANG
If you are a GLEE fan, you might recognise this face. This guy is a background character who has appeared in every episode I've seen in the last couple weeks. Nobody seems to know his name but is referred to as the "Other Asian." I must admit, he is one of the reasons I enjoy the show so much. After a bit of research, I have discovered his real name is Harry Shum Jr. and he has Twitter! (I can proudly say I follow him.) He can DANCE, speak Spanish and Chinese.

2. GARY MAI
This is just an ordinary guy from Brooklyn I started talking to on the ol' faithful A.C.T. I added him on Facebook for handy banter. As I flicked through his album photos I don't think I laughed as hard in my life! Yeah I'm sad. But his expressions are legendary. He has that natural funniness that is so so hard to find. I would tell you to look at the photos yourself to understand what I mean, but that would be a bit weird. Hm a cool list is weird enough actually.

3. CHARLIE MCDONNELL
Mr Coollike is still here.. I think he has moved down one? I don't know, I need to check. The reason I still adore him is the approaching London trip at Easter gives me a higher change of meeting him. haha. Plus, in his latest video he is wearing Jimmy Glasses. An automatic win in my eyes.

4. CONRAD CHOW
OOH poor Conrad has dropped from number 1 to number 4. He's still pretty cool, but he needs to put some more Youtube videos up to add to his coolness.

BLARGLE

Hey,
What a long day. I haven't done much, but I have felt awful stressed. I hate the thought of school tomorrow. Really makes me feel sick. I know that sounds silly but I just hate going back after Christmas, faced with exams and back to normal routine. Kerri's making me a calendar, which makes me feel slightly better. Perhaps she will have it done for tomorrow.
Mum's annoying me, she's forcing me to start to do my own ironing. I wear too much clothes and she says most of the laundry is mine. My plan is to just not iron at all. Or wear clothes that don't need ironing. Let them all pile up outside my room. I shall be lazy and a disgusting woman.
I read Super Junior fan fiction which Emma had sent me, that amused me for a few hours. I sat last night watching YouTube videos til like 1am, I regretted that this morning when I couldn't get up.
I went to Lisburn today to get Henry engraved, but supposedly the machine is too small for the MacBook to fit under it, so I have to find somewhere else. I'm determined to get it done!
I want to become more secretive, more suspicious, interesting and strange. However I have no secrets, and I blab everything. I'll try and accomplish that this week.

I need money soo badly. I might just have to do the lotto.

And I need to stop eating too.

~Claudia

P.S I love Eunhyuk. He's da man.

SUNSCREEN

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99...
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it.
The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience…I will dispense this advice now.
Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how
fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you imagine.
Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.
The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.
Do one thing everyday that scares you.
Sing.
Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.
Floss.
Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.
Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.
Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.
Stretch.
Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life…the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t.
Get plenty of calcium.
Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.
Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s.
Enjoy your body, use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own.
Dance. even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.
Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.
Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.
Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good.
Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future. Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you should hold on.
Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you
knew when you were young.
Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.
Travel.
Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders. Respect your elders.
Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.
Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.
But trust me on the sunscreen…

CHRISTMAS

Okay, I shall summarise my Christmas in a nutshell.
Waking at around 7, Jared and I got our Santa presents in the living room as usual. Mine consisting of a Macbook Pro named Henry and a pile of other stuff; D&G handbag, Perfume:Lola by Marc Jacobs & Harajuku Girls MUSIC, a book about the Beatles, scarf, hats. Twas awesome.
After opening presents under the tree, We went over to Mar's house, and opened the stuff she got us, I got a class Calvin Klein watch! Jared got GHD's, which I stole. muahaha.

The morning church service was excellent, I love it every year. It's so laid back. The children go to the front and show off their new toys, cute. Note that my typing is crappy because I'm actually exhausted and I have ate too much sweets. :(

We then went over to my Aunt and Uncle' s house, where we got presents from our cousins Gregor and Gareth. I love how Christmas day is split up into different present receiving sections. :D

Then it was finally Christmas dinner, which Mar prepared. I helped serve, of course. It was the nicest meal I've had in a long time. I was stuffed!

Gareth's new ski hat

Monopoly
FOOD
Presents

Aunt Lauren went back home to Belfast this morning. But Uncle Gordon is still here. He stayed at our house this evening, and Mum, Jared and him watched the first Batman film. I however, was on the Macbook. :)
I tried to place myself in a YouTube video of Super Junior learning English, and a music video of theirs (Full of Happiness) with "Photo Booth." I think I need a green screen though, if I want to do it properly. These two are the ones that turned out best! Note the lighting is crappy from my camera (WHICH IS BUILT INTO THE LAPTOP :O)

EVE'S EVE :D

Hey
Okay this will be a quick post, as my hands are cold and I'm hungry.
I got more coursework done today! Whooo. But I doubt it's gonna be done before Christmas. Like, it's Christmas Eve tomorrow. TOMORROW! Flip why am I not more excited? I bet tomorrow night I will explode or something.

I love the Christmas holidays! Well I love all holidays, but Christmas is clearly the best. I've already got into my "no school" routine. Go to bed super late, like between 12-1.30am, that is after spending hours on the laptop doing nothing. Then listening to my iPod all night as I sleep. Usually, I end up yanking my earphones out in the middle of the night unconsciously and throwing them on the floor. But it's just habit. Then waking late (round 10-11) and just wandering about all morning if I have nothing to do. Today was one of these days, except I ran out to the container to do as much coursework possible. I got a enough done which I was happy about.
Then I got distracted and made a banner for my blog. *scroll up* See? I think it turned out better than expected.

The official "Cool" list

1. Conrad Chow- I discovered him on A.C.T. He's not like a celebrity or anything but he just looks so cool! It's effortless! He was "born and bred" in Hong Kong and now lives in London. AND he works in Louis Vouiton! I looked at his pics, he's very stylish and cute. Naomi and I looked at his YouTube page, where he has posted videos of himself playing guitar: Check it out. Yes, effortlessly cool and sexy.

2. Lee Donghae- Okay, undoubtedly I will be posting a Super Junior member here. But it's Donghae, the sexy sexy one! What has drawn him to my attention recently is how amazingly photogenic he is, and how on screen he's just pure man. basically. It's an infaction just to watch his facial expressions. He's also the best dancer. I wish I could dance. Check out Super Girl by Super Junior M (he's the one in the grey suit) and Super Junior dancing to Sexy Back live. Woah Donghae.

3. Charlie Mcdonnell- OBVIOUSLY Charlie is here. I don't think I've mentioned Charlie yet on my blog. He's an 19 year old English guy who makes YouTube videos. He's hilarious, cute and smart. You may have seem him on the BBC Switch show "Chartjackers" where him and his 3 friends tried to conker the U.K charts with their song "I've Got Nothing." Well the song didn't get to number one, but they made a pile of money for Children In Need. I strongly advise you to look at his Youtube videos. He's a darling. And he is awesome at music and just being himself.

If I fail to post anything tomarrow or who knows when.. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
Ok, my stomach just fell off, I'm gonna go eat.

SUNDAY

Hello,
I'm not long home from church. Just waiting to be called for dinner.
Yesterday I invited Sarah, Mary-Jane (MJ for short) and Naomi down to watch "Attack on the Pin Up Boys" Super Junior's film that I had downloaded off YouTube. :)
I love Heechul in it, he's so funny and cute. And Kibum is so mysterious!
It was my third time watching it, it's hilarious! And now I think I have converted Naomi too, she just IM'd me with a link of a funny video of theirs.
Tomorrow we get out of class to see Hairspray. So I'll be missing ICT and a double art. Which sucks. I got my ticket to see it on Tuesday night, so I'm hoping it will be good then.

Umm, this was rather a pointless post, bye!
