SOMETHING...

SOOPER MEME MEME MEME MEME

Something you hate about yourself:

What a pessimistic question! I don’t think there’s anything I absolutely hate, just a few flaws in my personality and lifestyle I think I would like to change. One of them would be that I waste my time on silly things then neglect the things which are more important. Appearance wise, I always look really cross, so people think I’m aggressive - it’s just my normal expression though, sigh!

Something you love about yourself:
My wide variety of loud and embarrassing laughs.

Something you regret:
I regret not spending more time with my Granny before she died. I know that’s silly thinking like that because we visited her quite regularly. But I wish when I was there - I listened to what she said, I took interest in the conversation - instead of just sitting texting on my phone. Just thinking of it tears me up. How could I have been so stupid!

Something you have to forgive yourself for:
I have to forgive myself for being such a big horrible mess of a human being a few years ago. I’m trying to make up for it now by being nicer.

Something you have to forgive someone for:
Certain individuals who I felt bullied me in my younger years. Also a couple of people who made fun of my weight. There are some things which are harder to forgive than others.

Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life:
I wish I remembered who was important when I had them in my life. I wish I didn’t bicker with Jordan as much when she was alive. I wish I didn’t beat myself up due to my lack of self-confidence. I wish that I hadn’t told so many lies to my parents. I wish I wasn’t so angry at people for so many unnecessary reasons.

Something you wish you had done in your life:
I wish that I hadn’t wasted my life obsessing over things and used that time and energy to serve God. Why am I so capable of telling others to listen to K-Pop, but massively fail at telling others about the Good News of Jesus?? CLAUDIA YOU MESS.

Something you hope to do in your life:
Oh the usual female ambitions - get married, get a house, have kids, job etc.

Something you hope you never have to do:
Watch someone I love die - that would be a frightening and unpleasant experience.

Something you hope to change about yourself:
Wow these questions are deep! I hope to become 100% reliant on God. I always say I will, but when things are going well, I tend to forget about him. Then when things go wrong, I always expect him to fix my problems.

Someone who has made your life worth living for:
I remember Jordan saying in a post a long time ago: *cheesy Christian answer* My answer here is Jesus. He died for my sins so I definitely owe him one. Living for Jesus is the best decision I’ve ever made.

Something people seem to compliment you the most on:
My blue glasses, haha. Or my hair possibly?

Something you never get compliments on:
Er my eyes? I like my eyes anyway. Maybe no-one can see them because they are distracted by the glasses.

EASTER POST

Some words which have come into my head which I want to write about, eh?
Easter
I’ve been off for Easter this past week and next week too. So far I’ve had a lovely time off - meeting up with people I haven’t seen and also creating my Motion Graphics Visual Diary. We’ve also got some Easter Eggs which I plan to tuck into tomorrow. Yummy!

Car
I like driving now - how hypocritical of me, but I when people say getting your test is so much more better than learning, it’s definitely true. I never thought I’d like it though. Although I enjoyed the craic with my instructor, learning did get very tedious after a while. I’m glad that part of my life is over. I’ve my whole life ahead of me and I am free. Driving alone is so much more fun!

Social Networking
Okay, okay this is the very very last time I will rant about this. In the past few months, Twitter - you all should be familiar with it - has been increasing in popularity. I used the Twitter sphere to ESCAPE from silly Facebook friends’ updates - and now they all are making a Twitter account and FOLLOWING ME.
GO AWAY. GO AWAY, I SAY. I miss my freedom of expression, where I could tweet whatever I wished - now I feel I must censor it according incase it offends any of my followers. Hogwash!! I will only follow my friends and a few special others - this includes people from my course, celebrities and interesting/amusing people. Oh! And finally, don’t say Twitter is better than Facebook - it certainly is not. They both have their own features unique to the site - so just, eh, just shut up....and now I will too.

Friends
I’ve met many fantastic people through university, but nobody understands me like my friends back home do. We’ve been through so much together this past couple of months and we still stick together. I actually love you guys. Let us have many more laughs and memories together.

Diet
My weight is the bane of my life. For a while it was great, I actually had kinda lost my appetite - still not sure why, but alas, it has returned to it’s all-powerful self. I miss last year...I want my confidence back.

University
Would I go back to school? Not in a million years. I adore university - the freedom, the opportunity to meet new people and to study what I love.
My Classmates: Hannah, Seb, Rebecca and Emma in particular,
The other IMA guys who have made us all very welcome to our course: Eoin, Wilson, Michael, Nick, Louise, Lance, Sam and many others too!
My Flatmates in Cranagh: Kerri, Deirdre, Joanne and Anne.
CU friends: Shannon, Alison, Rachel, Danielle, Hannah S, Jenna, Alannah and some others too...
You guys are all awesome!

Music
I’ve been trying to re-evaluate my life this past fortnight and I’ve been cleansing myself from some certain music. Sometimes you can get carried away and you don’t even realise. I need to get my priorities right and my music is a good place to begin. I told a few people I’m trying to sort myself out, and honestly I don’t think they took it seriously - but I feel in my heart it’s time to move on. Although it won’t be easy, sacrifices need to be made to make room for greater things.

Faith
Last Monday we were challenged by our Small Groups leader to wake early and have our Quiet Time in the morning before we get up. Normally I would do a quick Bible chapter and prayer and conk out at night. Some nights when I was too tired I wouldn’t even bother. I knew it wasn’t very effective but it was just a bad habit I was stuck in. So I took on this challenge, and seriously, it’s been the best choice I’ve made in a long time.
I’m most focused in the mornings - so it’s a perfect routine for me and I’m able to spend more time praying and understand what I’m reading easier because my concentration level is higher. It’s also affected my whole day - I swear I’ve had the most fulfilling days since starting it. I’m happier and I feel closer to God, which is incredible. I love it!

Time for bed,
- Claudia

BLUE

I was about to introduce this blog post stating how I haven’t blogged for a while etc. but decided that is not the way to go, since 1. it’s very boring and 2. it was only a fortnight ago.
I haven’t had any time to chill so have spent my evenings doing that instead of blogging. (That means pigging out in front of the laptop stuffing my face and staring at my Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr feeds all night)
The interesting thing now is because I’m at university, it is a lot more likely that one or more of these are someone a lot of you don’t know. Which means you can't guess them unless you live inside my head. Not trying to twist your minds or anything, it is fact.
I don’t compose these to bring attention to myself or my blog, I like having somewhere I can document and express my thoughts freely. Kaboom!
- Explosion of ponderings -
One.
I miss being close to you, I feel like we are drifting apart and I’m trying desperately to repair what we have lost but I genuinely don’t know what to say anymore. I feel like I’ve been cruelly left out - not intentionally though - and I miss the craic. I miss you more than anyone, because you are so lovely and genuine and you were my first friend. Can we please try and fix this because I’m at a loss of what to do.
Two.
You are messing with my head, like seriously. Why must I fall so easily, especially of all people, why must it be you! I swore to myself I wouldn’t let this happen again, except this time it’s much worse because it is you and I can’t, and won’t, even tell anybody. I hope these feelings will go away because it’s all too confusing and I’m being silly and will therefore shut up.
Three.
I’m very glad you are back in my life. I know I am losing hope others and feel I am welcomed back with you. It’s comfortable and I feel so at ease talking to you. Just like old times. I really appreciate your company and hope we can become really great friends again.
Four.
This is far too difficult, I want to help you but it is just too much effort. I physically can’t help you if you can’t help yourself. I have others and don’t need you either. Just don’t hurt yourself. Sorry.
Five.
I can’t kid myself, and I certainly can’t kid Emma. YOU ARE STILL MY KING OPPA.
(Honestly I think oppa is one of my favourite words ever. C:) Oppas make Claudbag happy, I need many oppas. I collect them and keep them safe. Hehehehehe.

I’ve been feeling very negative and sad lately, please someone cheer me up. I guess I’m feeling BLUE.

My boys are back. I love BIGBANG. ♥

RAGE!

Here is a list I constructed of things that piss me off, or fill me in some kind of anger. I use this two lovely .gif files to show how I usually react when these listed annoy me.

Racism

I despise racism. I honestly think it’s one of the worst ways you could treat another human being. Sometimes I hate being white, and wish I could be something different, because I feel so ashamed and embarrassed by other white people’s ignorant and rude opinions. Especially in this area. It’s ridiculous.

When people copy you

One of my pet hates is if someone has the same item of clothing, handbag, etc as me. It drives me mad. I search for days finding things that are unique and then people somehow manage to copy me. Can’t STAND it. Most of the time I lie when they ask where I buy something. When it does happen I tend to stop using or wearing the thing completely because it reminds me of them.

When people text others

You know when you’re talking to someone then they begin texting? Or they don’t join in on the craic because they are secretly texting under the table? Hate that so much. If you like them so much why don’t you talk to them instead? Texting is for when you should be studying, or sitting bored on the bus, not with other people's company.

Conscientious people

Slap Slap. I hate teachers pets. You are losers, you know who you are. The coursework WILL get done in time, there isn’t any need to be working over lunch, or trying to scare other class members that deadlines are today. You are wrong. Wise up and enjoy your school life when you can.

“Like” on Facebook

I also don’t like people, especially younger folk who I somehow manage to be friends with, constantly ‘like’ groups on Facebook. It doesn’t make sense, most of these are statements! Surely if you found it amusing you would set it as a status update? This is why this social networking site has gone downhill, you all have made it tacky.

Gays/Homophobia/Sectarianism

Emma has summed this all up already. But basically, the world is screwed up enough already. We all only have a few decades here before we all die so wise up and stop fighting and make living worthwhile and better for everyone. We are all human and no one is more superior than the other, so just shut up.

Bad spelling

I’m not very good with grammar, as you may have noticed on my posts occasionally. I just fail at noticing grammar mistakes. I am not a grammar nazi, but I am a spelling nazi. I HATE bad spelling. Use spell check.

Capt..Captia...cap... Security Codes

You know them silly images you have to look at and verify you are human on almost every website you sign up to? I don't know about the rest of you, but I simply cannot fill them in. Am I stupid that I always get it wrong? I feel like I cannot remember how to read letters and numbers! It makes me feel stupid, and angry yo!

Note to the rest of the blogging community: Please please please untick the security code check on your Account settings, so then when I'm commenting on your posts I won't have to fill in one of those codes... Ty. ♥

Lack of manners

In school especially do I notice the lack of manners in people. Yes, it is irritating when a little first or second year runs in front of you, almost tripping themselves up to get to class on time, and not saying Sorry! or Excuse me. I would willingly knock them over and stand on their school bags/heads until they apologise.

It is worse however, when an adult or older person have no manners. That makes me so angry. Bad breeding!

When religion is dissed

As you get older, you observe and often land in the middle of a heated religious discussion. When you reach our age, everyone has their own opinions, and many would fight to defend their views. Only a few months ago did I hear a discussion about Evolution vs. Christianity: something which is a common topic to squabble over. Even the teacher contributed her thoughts. Being a Christian myself, I think you know what side I was on, but I must say I struggle to join in and defend my beliefs. Maybe I should..or maybe I shouldn’t? I don’t know.

I think it’s good that people are able to support what they believe, but when things go too far I just step back and say nothing.

It just makes me sad I guess.

It pisses me off too. Look at that Glee episode from a few weeks ago, “Grilled Cheesus.” That’s when it’s taken too far. That annoyed me a lot.

I know it’s bad, but when I hear people say there’s no god, I just think in my head “You’ll see.” And I know that sounds arrogant, but it's just how I react. Then I usually walk away. But that’s not gonna do much good either.

It’s a vicious circle, my friends.

Waiting

I have no patience. If I was to perfect anything about me, this would be it. My patience was best tested during my art interview, and I felt I wasn’t going to make it out alive. Even waiting for a bus, or walking behind someone slow in the corridor, I feel as though I am going to explode.

Crazy Asian people online

When I say “Asian,” I don’t mean the cool, sexy Asian, but the scary, pervy ones from Turkey (are they Asian?? wait what..) or some random country that I have never heard of. They somehow manage to worm their way into our life, even adding us on Facebook, not just the websites and chat us all up, it doesn’t even matter if your the age of 12 or 112. Leave me alone! I don’t care if I’m pretty or if you want to marry me, you are terrifying!

Procrastination

I do not understand the task that is procrastination. I have tried it, but my blood pressure was going to go through the roof due to the stress. What I don’t understand is what procrastinators do instead of what they are meant to be doing? Because if I procrastinated full time I would be a very bored person.

Terrorists

Nothing is more sad than the constant threat of terrorism in our country. One of my biggest fears is to be in the middle of a terrorist attack or a bomb scare. If the ‘troubles’ return to Northern Ireland, I will be the first to leave.

The sound of crisps

Last but not least, I do not like the sound of crisps being lifted from the packet. Especially in a quiet area like in the cinema. Shut up and bring Pringles instead! I think that’s one of the reasons why I don’t eat crisps often.

Oh! Not sure if Emma was the only to notice this, but I included Rain twice in my Awesome list. How silly of me!

I guess that makes him twice as awesome.

CHECKMATE

Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now. Oh, beg pardon, twenty things you want to say to twenty different people right now- I guess I got carried away!

Some of these are a bit mean...whoops, very mean indeed, well at least they are anonymous! If you plan to guess them, don’t try to in front of me, or I’m likely to give the answers away! And no, not all my close friends are in this.

I'm not planning to do the full meme like other people are, I'll probably just pick a few that I like the look of. Have fun.

One

You are so distant to us lately. Why won’t you just leave us because you clearly don’t want to talk to any of us anymore?

Two

If you DARE be the one that keeps me from achieving my dream I will make your life as miserable as you have made us the past four months.

Three

Gosh, you’re so lovely! I would like to be friends with you but I’m just too mean and you are too sweet. We really don’t have much to talk about though, haha.

Four

This past week especially, I’m beginning to know you better after disliking you for many years. I’m actually beginning to like you. Not a pity like, but genuinely I’m trying to be friends now. Another friend had said about how nice you were, but I never understood it before.

Five

You are prejudiced and a bigot! Accept me the way I am or I shall rebel! (Lol, you obviously have good qualities too, but I’m being dramatic for this one.)

Six

I know, and you know, that I don’t appreciate you as much as I should. You’re the coolest person I’ve ever met and I think I will die when we split for university.

Seven

You really really gross me out. And although I’m close to hating you, I find you extremely funny sometimes.

Eight

Do you actually think that about yourself? Because you’re not. You worry so much about others you don’t really know how to analyse yourself. You’re amazing though.

Nine

You are the one that makes my social life worthwhile. Absolutely hilarious. You’re going to be the one I miss most. Please don’t go too far away.

Ten

I don’t miss you guys at all. I’ve outgrown you, thank goodness.

Eleven

Sorry, I just can’t look at you the same way now. I try not to judge, but I still do.

Twelve

I always had this perception of you, but lately I’ve seen a completely different side and now I don’t know where I stand! D:

Thirteen

If anything happens you both, I would consider committing suicide, because I couldn’t live without either of you.

Fourteen

I often wish we could spend more time together, but it’s cool that we do have that class together and our journeys to catch up.

Fifteen

You’ve made me a more patience person, and boy, am Amy and I going to miss you next year!

Sixteen

I know it’s bad, but sometimes I seriously dislike you, then we spend time together and talk and hang out, and I really like you. We’ve had so many memories and laughs that I’ll never forget. I’ve no idea if we’ll stay in contact, but I hope no. 6 will keep us together somehow! I hope you didn’t eat too many chocolates today!

Seventeen

You are so rude, like the rudest guy I’ve ever met. (you haven’t yet said hello to me, so maybe that’s not technically true) Point is, if you weren’t so drop-dead hot, I’d punch you straight in the face.

Eighteen

You are nice, but every time you talk about him or whatever else in your boring life I want to just laugh, please wise up!

Nineteen

You used to scare me a lot, I once stood up to you because I was so mad but now I know your just a little sharp, that’s all. aaaeeehhhhhh!

Twenty

I don’t think you should throw your life away like this! You have so much potential and you are wasting it. You’ll regret it in the future, I’m sure.

Ouch, soul just spilt out there!

SCANDALOUS!

I feel rather miserable at the mo- Mum’s not letting me go to Stratford because it’s too much money and “It’ll teach me a lesson”

pffffttttwtf do I need to learn a lesson for??? I haven’t even done anything wrong. I think I’ve been rather well behaved recently. Since it’s unlikely I’ll be going to university at the mo, why bother to save for anything? Spend Spend Spend!

Everyone else is going and I don’t want to miss out. A have a strong urge to cry, get angry and rebel.

Let’s rebel.

1. Destroy those badass children on the bus who think they rule the world- they deserve it: who in their right minds throws apple pies on public transport anyway?

2. Then get expelled- school’s not cool. I’ve got other things to do.

3. Get a tattoo- Dark Mark on the inside of my wrist, The Dark Lord would be most pleased.

4. After that crash the car- then I won’t have to drive ever again.

5. Buy a motorbike instead- Taylor Lautner. mmm.

6. And Elope- with anyone really, preferably with an Asian because that would crack my family up.

7. Get pregnant- obviously the father isn’t the same person you eloped with, we need to make this as complicated and awkward as possible. I want my scandalous behaviour in next week's Mourne O.

My anger has drained away now. Of course, I'm joking about all that. I don’t think my brain would allow any of those things to happen. It might explode from lack of morals or something.

POUR ME A HEAVY DOSE OF ATMOSPHERE.

Ew, I’m wondering if my week can get more craptacular than this.
I haven’t updated in a while because one I’ve been busy and two everything else seems to have gone terribly wrong, stupid, ridiculous or awkward.

So I’ve been back at school since the first, then I was off again for a day. A few of us on that Thursday went to the Ulster Museum in Belfast which was enjoyable, we then went into town and saw Chrrisssttopphhherr!! (Not in McD's, but in Victoria Square! In his baseball cap and hightops, what a poser!) Back again on that Friday then it was the weekend. Good weekend indeed. :) Well Sunday sucked, but that's another story.

Then all last week I was exceedingly busy. I missed two full days of school due to attending Queens and Uni of Ulster Jordanstown Open days. Even though there were some mixed reviews, I really liked Jordanstown: they do the courses I am interested in and I just liked the closed in campus. It’s like a massive High School, with some shops and a s.u too. I think that would suit me rather well, but I would have liked it better if it was closer to Belfast city center. Queens was extraordinary, the building is beautiful, but I felt rather dumb as I walked round it because there’s no way I’d be going there, I just wanted to go for the day out. I attended a law lecture with Kerri. When I came out I felt as if I’d become a law student myself! Smarty.

The past few days have probably been the worst of this year. On Saturday night, I had a couple of friends down to watch Remember Me. (Spoiler: We got so freaked out when R’Patz was killed in the twin towers because it was the 9th anniversary that day! We were all in tears by the end of it...cry) So after they left I went inside I took my lenses out. I woke in the middle of the night with my right eye all sore and bloodshot. It was gross, but I thought it would be away in the morning.

Next day I couldn’t go to church because it was so bad. Bright lights, well any lights at all produced sharp pains. I honestly thought I was going to go blind. :0

Two doctors appointments and a Royal Hospital visit later, it is concluded that I have an ulcer behind said eye. Ewwww. I didn’t even know it was POSSIBLE to have ulcers there.

So now much to my dismay, I have to wear glasses for two weeks. And cut down how often I wear lenses. It’s my own fault really: I deserve to wear an eyepatch or something horrid because of the lense-abuse I gave my eyes.

I think everything is going wrong. Like the ulcer is affecting the way my brain is working or something. I keep doing silly things, things that make me go WTF CLAUDIA ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY FOOL... *falls asleep.*

Stupid post. Probably a lot more I could include here but I can’t be bothered tonight.

You should see my ironing pile.

- Claudia

Just googled eye ulcer: boke!!!! :(

12. THE PERSON YOU HATE THE MOST

Dear D (and other appalling k-pop enthusiasts),

I am writing this letter to show my disgrace regarding your disgusting, lecherous desire towards male Korean pop stars. I’m not even joking here, I actually feel nauseated just thinking about it. It’s not just you though, it’s a ridiculous amount of fans that encourage and pollute other fans innocent image of K-pop.

You won’t believe how many times I’ve come across fanfic PORN written by teenagers involving two MALE boyband members. C’mon, two guys!? Seriously, I know most of them have the body of a teenage girl and some even look like girls but that’s just awful.

And no, I don’t look this ‘yadong’ up. Its very easy to stumble across it when looking the most innocent things up. It’s horrible, I can’t imagine what some of the guys would say if they found it: they would be repulsed. Most of them are Christians, and from my view, it’s absolutely rotten how girls can think of boys like that.

I worry about younger people discovering these compositions: There’s often no obvious signs on these ‘fics’ of what rating it is, so you could start reading and not even realise. Some girls have such sick minds to even be able to create something like that.

Another thing is the whole couple thing in K-Pop that the fans adore. For example, in Super Junior, “Kyumin” “Eunhae” or “Kangteuk” Placing two members names together like they were going out, that’s just weird. Imagine if they DID start dating, not that I’m homophobic or anything, but I couldn’t listen to k-pop ever EVER again.

I just don’t understand it, that’s all. I don’t get what sets the desire off either, perhaps the way Koreans are very ‘touchy’ with each other? The way they have no problems hugging each other and have no personal space. Does that set off some kind of sexual fetish in a girl’s mind?! These fanatics need to get a new hobby, or maybe a boyfriend. No, not a boyfriend, if their motives are as messed up as their brain is, they should stay as far away from guys as possible!

I follow a few fans on Twitter, which is very handy to see news and updates 24-7, but some of their tweets can be gross, it makes me wince. For a while, I had followed this other girl, but her tweets were so appalling I had to unfollow after a week.

Another thing, I can admit I was bitterly disappointed when this girl had uploaded a picture of herself on Twitter: she’s so...typical looking! And she’s in her 20s, not even a teenager. Quit making icons and junk and go get a real life. She’s same as any damn fan out there, just a child like the rest of us. Except one who occasionally writes porn.

Okay, maybe that was a bit harsh, it’s not like she’s 50 and single, it’s just a hobby.

Well I hope it’s just a hobby. Would writing fanfics be a full time job!?

I don’t know. Maybe your thinking, why do I even bother listening to music that you can’t even understand or find these ‘chinky’ boys attractive. I just really enjoy it: the music is catchy and there’s something so appealing about it that I never can put my finger on. I wouldn’t say it’s an addiction, but it’s just a different hobby for me. I’ve always liked to stand out and be different to others, and in my music taste I am able to do so. It’s just that I hate it when people take it to extremes and ruin it for us normal fans. It makes it dirty and spoils the fun. The best thing to do is pretend that people like that don’t exist.

But anyway, this was more of a rant than a letter to anyone. I apologise if I pissed off or freaked anyone out.
