FOREVER ALONE!

Hey,

Last night I had a Ladies’ Night in the Container. (It’s a monthly event that we do, to catch up, chat about things..y’know, not gonna go into details because it’s top secret business.)

We spent a lot of the evening discussing romance and love as one of the topics.

Some of the girls were saying how they loved how a guy could be sweet and caring to them, understanding how they feel and being a comfort when they are needed.

Is it bad that I don’t expect a man to do this for me? I don’t get this concept at all.

I don’t know how to be affectionate. I feel awkward giving hugs to people, even my family sometimes, never mind a boy. I would catch cooties, heh.

This sounds awful, but I feel too capable and occupied with my own life to even make time for a relationship. If this is how I feel now, will this be worse in the future when I get a job?! I’m such a selfish cow.

I just don’t understand how couples can be just right for each other. Well, I do get that. I can’t grasp how I could be right for someone else.

I’m skeptical about the whole idea of love. I honestly think it’s because I don’t think it will happen to me! Forever alone.

Well these were the thoughts that were flying through my head while the rest were gushing about all these perfect romantic proposals. (They had moved on, while I still was detesting love in my thoughts)

Then this came into my head!!

Like everything else in my brain, I related it back to this drama I watched. Well it was IRIS, because it’s the only one I’ve fully seen so far. And this thought immediately restored and enlighten my belief in love and romance!!

I blurted this part of the drama out to the other three I was with, dumbly explaining it because it sounded disgusting. This didn’t make much sense to them at the time, but I think it’s idealistic but slightly unrealistic presentation of the two nearly made me cry. (It had made me cry before but I forgot how wonderful it was, it gave me butterflies because it’s soooo sweet.)

Let’s cut to the point. IRIS, although an action packed and exhilarating show, it also entwined the most beautiful romantic scenes I’ve ever seen on television or film.

I’ve made a short clip of the scene with my own subtitles (because the one I downloaded didn’t have any) but if you don’t want to watch it all, you can read the description below.)

So this part of the show is, Hyun Joon (the most gorgeous, old Korean guy you will ever set your eyes on) and Seung Hee (Hoe-Face) was in Akita in Japan on holiday. It was White Day, as they call it. (I think it’s something similar to Valentine’s Day) but the point is the man was to buy a present for the lady on that day.

So it begins with him entering a store to purchase something, leading Hoe Face to smile ridiculously thinking the present was for her. (Greedy girl)

She demands that he gives her the contents of the bag he had during dinner. Hyon Joon doesn’t understand what she wants (typical man, they are all the same) but it turns out he only bought a pair of underwear. (LOL typical man indeed.)

Seung Hee is miffed that he did not get her anything (COS SHE’S A HOE), not even candy for White Day. She refuses to talk to him, prompting him to leave the restaurant. (Honestly, she’s a terrible actress and you would slap her if you watched the whole series because I wanted to) She pouts, expecting him to come back, but he doesn’t.

She waits outside the restaurant, wondering if he’ll ever return. (They are in Japan, I don’t know how far he was thinking of going...)

Soon enough, he comes round the corner, STILL empty-handed.

Seung Hee is annoyed BUT then he grabs her face and kisses her. As he does, he puts a piece of chocolate in her mouth!

That might have been anti-climatic for y’all to read there, but when I was watching it, I was dying inside.

MY FAITH IN LOVE HAS BEEN RESTORED!

I know this is just acting between two people but it affected me much more than if a couple did this in real life. People who display public affection should be shot.

“You forgot underwear too?”

H is for...

Heroines

So this post is going to be about women, who inspire me in one way or another. Enjoy.

Jaamela Jamil

I see this woman in Look Magazine all the time, and not only do I applaud her for her amazing fashion sense, she’s absolutely stunning! If I was a size 6/8 I would LOVE to look like her- her eyes are so beautiful! *Aims to look as pretty as her*

Selena Gormez

For some reason. I adore this girl. I’ve watched her on “Wizards of Waverly Place’ (yeah, I know) a few times and think she’s as cool as a cucumber. Her bold and brash nature is brilliant in that show, she is a talented actress. And she’s dated Taylor Lautner, lucky girl!

Lady Gaga

Honestly, where do I start? Probably the most amazing woman in the world, no, the universe!

Not only an inspiration to me to be individual, but so many others too. It’s difficult to describe how great she actually is because she’s too amazing to describe.

Her style: Unreal. Seriously. Despite having a figure to die for, Gaga goes beyond all limits in the fashion world. She wears outfits that other normal pop stars wouldn’t dare to wear, and that originality is copied by fans all over the globe.

It’s said that she’ll be remembered for her fashion more than her music: this I don’t totally agree on because they are both equally phenomenal.

And the best bit is she IS talented, no matter what critics or haters say. Trust me, I saw her live, she is an ARTIST.

Love her or hate her, this lady is going to be around for a very long time.

Audrey Hepburn

The most beautiful lady ever. ever EVER. This awe I’m feeling over my heroines is very difficult to explain! I think Audrey is the definition of a perfect woman: she’s beautiful, cultured, elegant and ever so stylish. Through her life these qualities never faded, they matured with age. Audrey showed the world that you can still be perfect and work hard.

And even though she’s not with us, she’s still in our hearts today.

Paloma Faith

I more than likely have never announced this to anyone before, but I really like the singer Palmona Faith. Her style is so quirky and her voice is stunning.

Emma Watson

If you have been living in a bucket this last nine years, Emma Watson is the girl who plays Hermione in the Harry Potter films. Only after recently rewatching the films did I realise how amazing this girl can act. Lately she’s been in the papers publicizing Deathly Hallows (Which I still haven’t seen, drat) sporting a new hair-do. My own opinion: I usually loathe boy cuts on girls, but Emma Watson can work it! She looks even more glamourous than before. Miss Watson is on this list for being a super role-model and fashionista for ladies everywhere in 2010.

Sunny from SNSD

No idea why, but Sunny is my favourite in Girls Generation. She’s looked at as one of the least pretty members so I look up to her for ignoring all the haters. She’s so cute and naturally looks adorable. If I looked Asian, I’d so want to look like her!

Hacker Girl

Oh my goodness, where do I start! Well firstly, Yang Mi Jung is a character in my Korean Drama IRIS, which I have spoke about before, so I won’t bore you to tears again about it. We affectionately called her Hacker Girl, because she is a wizz-kid at hacking into CCTVs, programs...basically anything and everything. So that skill amazes me, because she’s so intelligent and is a master of computing- something I’ve always wished I could do!

In the show, she’s so funny. She’s got brilliant lines and her and 70s Guy (Hyang Tae Sung: he looks like he’s been imported from the 70s) made a superb team at the NSS!

Hacker Girl’s style is amazing! She wears the rarest clothes! Which I love because she’s being so unique. She’s very distinct looking but so gorgeous.

And then, she gets better still. She dates T.O.P (Assassin Vick). It’s only later in the episodes do we begin to see their relationship. It’s so sweet: she’s completely fallen for him! I don’t want to give too much away, because Emma’s likely to read this and she still has to watch it...

Marlene Freimanis

I have used Marlene four times as my artist in my school artwork. Honestly, she is the best artist I have ever come across, and she isn’t even that well known. I found her on DeviantArt, where she is active at posting her pieces for seven years now. She’s a bit like myself: she goes through obsessions focusing on different things, but unlike me, posts AMAZING pieces of art relating to it. She is interested in macabre, zombies and gory, gothic things, as well as a fanatic Gaga monster. Lately she’s been into Florence and the Machine (No way as good as Gaga, I gotta admit) When I get my own house, I want to order a print of hers to hang up on my wall.

If I had 100th of her skill I would be delighted.

Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks is known for playing a part in a show called Mad Men: I’ve never watched it, but you see this lady all the time in the newspaper and magazines.

She’s been in the media so often because of her incredible curves and bust size. This year she’s been voted Sexiest Woman Alive.

I love this woman because even she, like myself, is a size 14, and struggles to find designer clothes that fit that body shape properly. She won’t alter her size for designer clothes or conform to other Hollywood size 0 bodies either. People online have sneered and criticised her for not doing this.

Well girl, you’re a true beauty, so don’t worry what they say!

Yay that was a fun post.

STARDUST

Oh blog! I’m in a very good mood! I don’t know why. But I felt inspired to write something so I try to never let that moment pass. I really should read Gatsby tonight, but I don’t really feel like it.

Sometimes, I would like to read on the bus on the way to school/home time. I definitely would if the fools on the Annalong bus were not so savage and would refrain from throwing sausages, potato and many other Home Ec goods at the back of my head. Or if the little Primary School rats would shut their trashy mouth for two minutes. (In Primary School, I wouldn’t have been allowed to get a bus in my own! Actually, would I have even known how?)

Being a Prefect, you would think I should do something about this bad behaviour? Well, what is the point. Annalong students are the worst out of all the bus people, and shouting at them is exactly what they want so they could stir it up even more.

So I’ll just stick my earphones in like I do everyday and block out the many flaws in High School life. (And secretly mutter bad names under my breath.)

I’m looking forward to Saturday! I’m meeting my Uncle David (Deta, as we all call him) who lives in London. He’s over to visit us now but then is spending Christmas with his family. Ah! How I’ve missed him! He used to come down every Boxing Day when he lived in the same house as Uncle Gordon. I can’t wait to see him again. The snow better not ruin my plans.

I’m looking forward to Christmas! I don’t want anything in particular, I told my parents not to get me too much, because after all, I did get a car this year as well as so many trips and outings. I have a growing fear for Christmas too. That sounds really ridiculous, but I really don’t want to put weight on. I’m scared of putting on the weight I spent so long on losing. And it’s not going to be easy. Saturday 18th is Noelle’s birthday, which is a meal out. Sunday 19th we have our annual Burrendale meal which consists of delicious Turkey and Ham. Monday 20th is the S.U dinner, ANOTHER Christmas dinner. Then I think we can all guess what’s also on that week: Christmas parties= Junk Food, Christmas Eve= stuffing face with Quality Street, and the killer: Christmas Day. One more, we have a meal on Boxing Day due to more relatives arriving, so yeah I’m screwed!

I’m really getting back into using Last.fm again in school, when I’m working on I.C.T. I even got Noelle using it. Lately I’ve been listening to DBSK and JYJ loads, so it’s a really cool way of listening to more of their songs for free. Tumblr on the other hand, hasn’t been working this past week, and I’ve noticed a slight withdrawal symptom in me from not being able to reblog my favourite pictures. Sad, I know, but I love it!

Currently on the past snow days, I’ve been working on potential Portfolio work for my art interview. (D.V) It’s coming on well, but takes an awful lot of time. I don’t think my AS work is up to standards for this unit. It’s very annoying when it’s not up to standard, kinda makes me angry.

I just got an email through from Mr Harris: “UCAS sent” What does that mean? DOES THAT MEAN IT WASN’T SENT LAST MONDAY? oh no!

I was reading future posts that need to be posted. (Letters I have wrote, but because I’m posting them in order I can’t post them just yet) and saw A SPELLING MISTAKE. But it’s one I can’t alter because it’s in an image! It will make sense when it’s online. But aragh!

Did I tell you IRIS is over? Well it is. I wrote on Facebook the other night: “So that's the end of IRIS: I laughed, cried, shouted insanely and swooned. Definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen! Can't wait to see the movie version. :D” Which hit the nail on the head. It was so so good. I was far too emotional. They left a lot of blanks and gave us an ending that would making you cry out in despair, but are releasing a movie version of all 20 episodes which will hopefully put all the pieces together.

Mum, Jared and I decided to watch a film last night, it was this Kung-Fu/Western thing, wasn’t that good, but anyway, when we started it, Mum warned me “Now Claudia don’t take this in too much because I don’t want to encourage this sort of thing” Yeah Mum, because I have the hots for Jackie Chan.

Honestly! This is the same Mother who watched all 20 IRIS episodes with us and had favourite characters too! And the same Mother who stores a photo of fat-to-thin T.O.P in the treat cupboard to help her diet. Can’t say it works, but he’s there watching us...

My family is as crazy as I am.

And no, I still haven’t seen Harry Potter.

Sunday, 21 November 2010

OH NO!

OH NO!

My fantastic Glee outing plan is completely flawed! Emma can’t go. Kerri won’t go. No-one else is going. I haven’t heard anything from James or the rest. (Where is everybody today?!) I spent all night last night getting excited/worried about it and then couldn’t sleep: I was worried in case I didn’t get tickets. Didn’t get over to sleep to around 3am. :(

Anyway I’m super annoyed because mother said I was allowed, now that nobody else is going I can’t Pfft, does she know I’m going to be 18 by then? Aragh I don’t want to be pampered and mollycoddled, I wanna see this show!! Even if that means going on my own!

Don’t get me started on how I haven’t seen Harry Potter yet either.

I can’t feel happy about anything right now because I’m just so pissed off. I’ll attempt at some good news anyway. Do you remember in my Ladyboys! entry I spoke of a smell on stage that I just couldn’t resist? Well I do believe I have found it in a perfume: Vera Wang Princess!

It’s the closest smell to it as possible, all in a little perfume. See, we were out shopping that day and Jared and I went into House of Fraser so I could look around. I tested some perfumes including this one so perhaps the smell reminded me of that whole day, now I adore it. If it’s not too late, I think I’ll ask it for Christmas.

Before bed last night I watched episode 14 of IRIS. Gosh, it’s amazing. And the episode felt really long, in a good way. So that set me hyper and I couldn’t sleep. And T.O.P made an appearance too, but I can’t give anything away because Emma will go crazy if I reveal spoilers to her. Can you read this Emma? Oh YEAH, he kisses Hacker Girl- such a lucky girl!!

More good news: they are making an IRIS film! And Prefect Disco sorted too- I'm going as Boo from Monsters Inc.

UCAs statement is hopefully being sent away by the end of the week. I’ll keep you posted.

Does Claudia’s UCAs get sent away??

Will Claudia get to see Glee Live, her man of her dreams, Harry Shum Jr??

Is Vera Wang Perfume expensive??

Will she get to see Harry Potter before it’s too late??

Does she reveal any more spoilers to Emma??

And will T.O.P get to meet the girl of his dreams: Claudia?? (I hope so, heh!)

That’s all folks!

Tune in next time, for another post from CLAUDIA’S BLOG! *theme music*

TELL ME GOODBYE

Hello! I came onto Blogger to post my poem, but blast! Emma has done so before me.
So here is mine. It’s for a silly poetry competition in school so I have to give it in tomorrow in English.
Of course, I like putting hidden meanings into my poetry (last year it was the Joker from Batman)
So this year, dear reader, my inspiration is my favourite K-Drama IRIS.
It’s basically about me being T.O.P’s girlfriend and him strangling me because he was ordered to. (He's an assassin)
I haven’t watched the episode yet, but below is the image I based the poem on. Hooray.

Tell Me Goodbye

Through the cavern of my ear you murmured,
Lulled me with your gentle sounds,
Your deep and sensual voice
Moulded and transformed me,
Unveiling your soul you pulled me in closer, your arms wrapped around me
An aroma of lustrous dark hair overwhelmed me and concealed eyes radiated into mine,
Submerging me deeper into the waters.

I floundered as oxygen escaped my lips
Your hands closed it’s fingers around my neck, it grew excessively tighter,
The waters had become too deep, I was drowning.
Your confession of rampaging other innocent human souls crumbled around me
As I now stared at the face of an executioner.
Your beautiful brown irises vanished behind closed lids,
What unfortunate victims are left on the list after myself?
Broken as dreams turn to nightmares,
My tears percolated in animosity,
I had allowed you to exploit me, the fool in me loved you entirely!
Still your grip around me continued to clench,
There was no use resisting any longer, the betrayal was enough to extinguish this existence.
Mission complete.

22. SOMEONE YOU WANT TO GIVE A SECOND CHANCE TO

I’m sorry, I can’t think of someone for this. :(
- Claudia

SO INSTEAD, I'll provide a quick crappy update of my life.

So. The summer's nearly over. It's been so good, I've done so much I just need another summer to recover. Even though I've been off for nearly 3 months, it's gone very quickly. I don't want to go back to school! (Wonder what I'll be saying this time next year?) I can't be bothered starting to do any proper work again, especially English Lit, I really don't like it. And I.C.T is so gay, it will be worse this year because we have got different teachers. Thankfully I'm dropping R.E now. It was awful last year.
And my AS results will be out next Thursday. I'm not perturbed about that at all, I'm just curious to see how I've done. My guesses that I'll get A,B,C, D. (Secretly wouldn't mind that, that would be so cool!)
A- Art
B- I.C.T
C- English Lit
D- R.E
I'll let you's know next week if I am right in my predictions. :)

Another thing. I am in debt! I work one day a week and I still can't manage to save a penny. I owe my Granda about £100 from using his Visa Card on buying stuff online. And I owe Jared money (£10) because I'm always meeting friends. Unfortunately Jared is a complete scrooge and asks for the tenner everyday. I still haven't paid so hopefully he'll eventually forget about it.

I have watched so many films this summer too. When I finish this letter meme I shall post a list of all that I have watched. It's wonderful having so much spare time.

I've also fallen in love with this drama called IRIS. Unsurprisingly, it's Korean. But don't judge it or my biased self because of that, because it's a spectacular show. It stars Byung Hun Lee, who also was Stormshadow in the film version of G.I Joe. He's what triggered me to start watching it. So each episode is about an hour long, and it starts with Kim Hyun-Jun (BHL) being told to go on a mission to shoot the North Korean Leader (Controversial, I know!) Eventually, after this mission is complete, he makes an escape, but gets shot and is wounded. He soldiers on and phones his boss at NSS (National Security Service) who he asks for help because he cannot return home due to his injuries. It then flashes back to a few years ago, to when he was apart of the National Forces (army I'm guessing) and attended college, where he meets a girl called Choi Seung-hee. The more you watch, the more it makes sense basically.
It's really not something that you explain, but I recommend that you have a look at the first episode here.
I later discovered T.O.P from Big Bang also makes an appearance as the mysterious assassin who kicks everyone's ass. He's what makes the show so damn awesome! I've watched 3 episodes of the show now but I'm dying to watch more! I really want to order the box set, yay :)

I joined the Facebook page for Drama IRIS and regrettably skimmed through the posts and saw spoilers!! I was annoyed at this, because I know what happens to T.O.P. But aw well.

Another thing my geeky self finds funny would be MACROS. Recently I joined tumblr, to see what the big deal was. Essentially, it's blogger for people who want to post pictures and crap all the time instead of taking the time to write entries. So it suits me fine, I'll post less Korean stuff here now and post it there instead. Here is my tumblr account, follow me if you wish.
Oh yes, Macros. Well maybe my sense of humour has gone out the window, but now-a-days I find these silly images the funniest things ever. According to Wikipedia, it is "An image macro is a picture with superimposed text, often for humorous effect." I found a tumblr site filled with kpop related ones, probably macros have been around for ages, but I've only discovered them lately!
