INVINCIBLE

Hey,
I feel I must speak of my adventures this past week.
I’ve had an extraordinary week filled with fun and festivities - I feel much better since my last post here. I was really getting depressed for a while but I think this week has definitely made up for feeling so crappy.

First of all, I got my driver’s test! Hoorah! If you know me at all you’d be aware about how much I HATED learning to drive - it was a despair - I was on the verge of giving up. It’s not that I wasn’t any good, I just couldn’t master it. Then I booked my test in late January after much deliberation and persuasion from my parents. Within a month and a half I bloomed into a pretty good driver, which also boosted my confidence.

I took my test on Monday morning (5th March). I felt nauseous - it was terrible. I was so nervous I couldn’t remember the answers to the question that the examiner asked me, and at one point I panicked so much I couldn’t put my poor wee car into gear. Although this cost me two minors, I successfully got through the rest of the test without any problems. I was delighted and still quite shocked that I passed!
Hopefully I’ll get a run out tomorrow because I haven’t had the opportunity from being in Coleraine all week.

I also had my first deadline this week for my course. I had to create a Motion Graphics piece using Adobe After Effects on a topic of my choice. I chose myself.. sounds a bit egotistical but I was inspired by P.J Ligori’s video.
Here it is, posted below, you can have a look. There’s a couple of mistakes, yes, but it’s not the final version. There’s lots more to be done. I worked for 9 hours on this for only 30 seconds of footage - it’s ridiculous how time-consuming animating is.
I thoroughly enjoyed making my wee illustrations on Photoshop, and if you have any feedback it would be much appreciated!
Thirdly and finally, I must tell my tale of my evening with 5 lovely men - The Wanted!
The Wanted are a British boyband who’s hits you are likely to be familiar with: ‘Glad You Came’ and ‘All Time Low’.
They are near the end of their first Arena Tour and Belfast was on the list - Kathryn, Kerri and I ordered tickets. I am pleasantly surprised at how AMAZING of a show they can put on! Seriously, highly recommended. The atmosphere in the Odyssey was fantastic and we were all singing and dancing along!
The highlight of the night was spending 2 and a half hours outside the back gate patiently waiting for the tour bus to drive out - anxiously anticipating that we may see them again.
The persistence prevailed - at 12:30am they appeared! They walked up and down and kindly took photographs, signed autographs and offered hugs and kisses. Totally worth the wait. We were, as you can imagine, in hysterics.
First of all we met Jay - my favourite, such a cutie. We were so excited though we didn’t get photographs separately with him. :( However I’m peaking out of this photo with Kathryn.
We met Nathan next - which was a lot more successful - we got individual pictures with him and he gave us a hug. He was so adorable and down-to-earth. This is the best photo I think.
Lastly we met Max - Kathryn got carried away and our photographs didn’t turn out great - as you can see I’m not sure who looks more scary in my photo!
Alas, we didn’t get to meet the almighty beautiful Siva or Tom either - but hey, maybe next time? ;)
It was an amazing experience though and none of us expected to have such a brilliant night! I’m still buzzing with excitement and it was almost 24 hours ago!

But yeah, that’s me all caught up once again!
Lots of Love,
Claudia

ENGLAND

Hey,

Believe it or not, I'm sitting in England.
Dad saw this car he wanted, so we all went over during half term to maybe buy it.
It's quite boring really, I'm just sitting with Jared in the Audi sales place.
I'm stealing internet. ^_^ so it's all good. :)

UPDATES

HELLO
I haven't blogged for a while. I've actually forgotten about it because I've been so so busy.

Updates...
TUESDAY: I went to Slimming World, which I had wrote about in my last entry. My diet is going really well. Oh! I also watched GLEE for the first time. I'm still not a fan yet. I don't see what's all the fuss about.
WEDNESDAY: I borrowed a Vibroplate from one of my Mum's friends. All you do is stand on it and it basically shakes your fat about. It helps you to lose weight the lazy way.
THURSDAY: I got my R.E results. I done really badly and was quite annoyed. Only got 50% in my exam. Aw well. It's only mocks. Jared didn't do so great either. Mum wasn't impressed.
FRIDAY: I went on an English trip after school to Belfast til late. Jordan, Kerri, Emma, Laura, Mary Jane and I went to Blue Pizza Co for our tea. (diet ruined) Then we went to the Lyric Theatre (which is across from Queen's University) and saw the worst play in the world. It was called The Caretaker by Harold Pinter. Lethal.
SATURDAY: I cleaned all day. ALL DAY. My container has never looked so good. I woke up at 10am and cleaned constantly til 6pm. I was exhausted. That night I went to Rachel's 17th Birthday party and we just caught up on the craic and watched "Legally Blonde." Seen it about a dozen times, but still really funny.
TODAY: Church as usual. Then after Sunday Dins I went out driving round the yard in Mar's car. It was awful. I HATE DRIVING.

Blast this entry. Time for a new one.

CH-CH-CHANGES

I want to write a blog about new year's resolutions. Here goes.

Become closer to God- I've been so distant recently it's embarrassing. Due to going to bed so late, I haven't had time for quiet time, and my prayers are a mumbley mess. I need to get back into routine of putting God first in my life. This just hasn't been happening.

Be crazy and adventurous- I'm just so lazy! I sit in every weekend. I need to get out more, experience new stuff; like try new food, wear different clothes, go different places, listen to a range of music, learn a new language, watch movies, plan events and carry them out.

Meet new people- I seem to hang out with the same old crowd all the time, I would love to meet new people and have a wider range of friends. I'm really quiet though, and most of the time I don't have a clue what to say to people. I shall conker this! *determined face*

Learn to drive- Something I dread, but it must be done! Actually, dad was looking for a car for me last night, and I did get excited about it. I'm hopeless at theory (to put it this way, I scraped my cycling proficiency when I was 11) But there is a lot of thickos who have their test, so maybe it's not as hard as it looks?

Save Money- HAH well this is mission impossible- due to the fact I need money to run a future car, and that I just love spending cash. I will be more careful on what I spend money on. I don't have a job- that could go on the list too.

Become nicer to people- I have the worst temper, I need to learn to control it. I also need to become more polite because I'm sometimes rude and don't even realise. Whoops. I also have started this habit of swearing under my breath, or replacing swear words with these made up words (example: ssssss..sugarbooger. or. "si-ah-hash-sheesh" which is basically Parseltongue in Harry Potter. lawl.)

Lose weight- Okay, even half a stone I would be happy with. I have NO willpower whatsoever, probably the same willpower as a smoker trying to quit. It's like battling the Blob in Scribblenauts; You can't win.

Exercise- This ties in with point above. Try and get to the gym once a week, twice if I'm lucky.

Become more creative- Blog often, keep a planner (I have for the last two years running, it's definitely one of my better ideas) draw often;- put this art onto deviantart, perhaps make a YouTube video? Photoshop loads (that reminds me I need to get my Corel Photoshop off Sarah.)

Volunteer- Once again, I am lazy and not willing to help others. I need to write a CV in the near future, if I don't do something about it, it will be an empty CV. Not cool man.

Pass exams- Flip I haven't started revision! My whole school stuff is going downhill. I'm just so lazy. Work work work work work work work in 2010 Claudia.

Til my next blogging session,
Claudia. :)
