Just cringed a lot at these old posts - for that dear readers, I'm truly sorry!
I'm in the mood to do some old-school blogging - I don't care if anyone reads it but just have to get those feelings out there.
Also...I'm 25 next month. I started this blog in 2009 - where has the last 9 years gone?!
...What has 2017 taught me?
1. Do EVERYTHING! My NYR last year was to basically say 'yes' to every event and experience. It's totally worth it and I've made so many friends and great memories.
2. New hobbies! Hosting tea parties makes me feel alive. I'm learning to cook. I've started going to singing lessons. I swim. I love all these things!
3. Just because someone seems 'right' on paper doesn't mean they are. It's good to know what traits to look out for and what to avoid.
4. I actually am capable of love. And heartbreak.
5. Look fabulous. Dress everyday like it's my last day on earth.
6. To be more giving - I've noticed the more generous I've become, the less I've needed. The Lord will provide.
7. To live fearlessly - I'm past that stage of caring about what people think.
8. Music is wonderful! Muse, Biffy Clyro, The Killers, Steps/Vengaboys, Queen/Adam Lambert - thank you for putting on incredible shows in 2017!
9. How to cherish precious friends - they have been my lifeline through the ups and downs of my twenties.
10. Realising the unconditional love from my family/friends and the many blessings in our home that so many people don't have.
Here's to 2018.
